Rescue divers pulled two bodies from the 35W Bridge collapse wreckage in Minneapolis today. This will raise the death toll to seven people killed when the bridge over the Mississippi River collapsed last Wednesday.

The unidentified victims were removed and taken to the Hennepin County Medical Examiner, police said.

Eight people had been listed as missing from the August 1 collapse of the Interstate 35W bridge into the Mississippi River. Another eight injured people remain in hospitals.

President Bush hosted a news conference today and stated that officials are working hard to find the cause of the bridge collapse. It is unknown why the bridge collapsed and what risk factors should be looked for in similar bridges around the country.
