A driver who apparently had to much "holiday spirits" caused minor accidents in both the west-bound lanes of 1-94. He was going the wrong way (east in the west-bound lane) when he hit a woman's car, but he somehow managed to get going in the right direction. Unfortunately he then had a minor accident with a tractor-trailer before he was finally stopped.

According to the Star Tribune:

There are usually only three reasons for wrong-way driving — the driver is drunk, has a medical problem or is older.

"The likelihood that somebody could have been severely injured or killed in Thursday’s wrong-way crash was very high."
